Dr. Jeanette Truchsess, PhD
Jeanette Truchsess, PhD is a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice since 1991. She provides compassionate services to clients with challenges across the life span. These include issues related to family of origin, relationships, workplace, marriage, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, trauma, spirituality, divorce, career changes, empty nest and retirement.
Clients who experience loss, anxiety, depression and shame can benefit from Dr. Jeanette’s expertise. She offers a wide variety of coping tools to help clients move through these challenges and find greater contentment. Some of the approaches offered are Cognitive Behavior therapy, grief work, family systems therapy, stress management techniques and meditation.
Dr. Jeanette has specialized in reproductive mental health for several decades. She provides support and education for family building options. She helps clients to grieve losses, learn coping tools and make decisions to achieve their goal of parenting. For those who decide to remain child-free, Dr. Jeanette offers counseling for navigating that decision-making. Dr. Jeanette performs psycho-educational consultations for recipients of donor sperm, donor eggs and donor embryos. She also provides evaluations for gestational carriers and intended parents.
Dr. Jeanette’s personal journey through infertility included reproductive treatment. Her family-building efforts happily resulted in domestic open adoption. She can empathize with both journeys and help you on your path.
